AJ McLean Headed Back To Rehab Before Backstreet/New Kids Tour

Here’s one New Year’s resolution AJ McLean forgot to mention to Ryan Seacrest. The Backstreet Boys singer has shipped off to rehab in advance of the upcoming BB/NKOTB summer tour. He hasn’t been coy to fans about his plans, though, tweeting “Its gonna be a great year! I love u all and wish me luck! I start my sober journey tomm! Ttfn!” last weekend.
According to TMZ, the singer has been “out of control” of late, but he doesn’t want it to get in the way of his summer paycheck. This change in lifestyle isn’t 100%, however—McLean is still engaged to Rachel Karidis, whom he proposed to during last year’s AVN Expo. The sober Backstreet Boy can still be the freaky Backstreet Boy!
